Our Friends and Foundation
The Friends of the Pacific Grove Public Library help ensure that our library is a thriving community center for discovery and lifelong learning. Find out how you can get involved at www.pglibraryfriends.org.
The Pacific Grove Public Library Foundation seeks to develop a source of long‑term financial support for the Pacific Grove Public Library to enhance and expand its role as a center of learning, cultural enrichment and community interaction. The Foundation is established as an additional source of funds to supplement, not supplant, public funding. Learn more or make a gift.
Donate Books and other Library Materials
You can donate books or other Library materials at the circulation desk near the front entrance. Recent, popular titles are especially appreciated. Donated materials need to be suitable for the collection or resale (very dirty, discolored, mildewed, damaged or detached covers, old text books, old computer books, etc. are not suitable for resale). Please don’t donate materials that you wouldn’t consider buying yourself.
Beginning in 2008, a small group of library volunteers began what is now called the First Saturday Book Sale. This event, with rare exception, is held the first Saturday of each month from 10 AM until 4 PM in the arcade at the front of the library. For more information or to get involved, visit First Saturday Book Sale.
The Library welcomes volunteers to help maintain collections and provide programs and services. Fill out the volunteer application form for more information. Thank you for considering donating your time and talent to the Library!
