Join us to hear the lively and humorous Laurie R. King, New York Times bestselling author of the Mary Russell-Sherlock Holmes stories, talk about her just published 18th book in the series titled: The Lantern’s Dance.  Her series began with The Beekeeper’s Apprentice, named “One of the 20th Century’s Best Crime Novels”.  Additional honors are: the  Agatha, Anthony, Creasey, Edgar, Lambda, Macavity, Wolfe, and Romantic Times Career Achievement awards. She is a Baker Street Irregular and a Mystery Writers of America Grand Master.

Of her newest book, Publishers Weekly writes: “…[Holmes and Russell are] tangled up in a mystery involving kidnappers, a lost inheritance, and burning family secrets. The elaborate family lore King has constructed for Holmes impresses, and she pays longtime readers dividends with a number of satisfying disclosures about the detective’s past.”

Laurie has co-edited (with Lee Child) the MWA handbook, How to Write a Mystery, and has a new contemporary series featuring SFPD Inspector Raquel Laing in Back to the Garden. Read More.
