Welcome Messagefrom library director
The Library staff want to thank our community for the patience shown during the long wait to get into the renewed library. A month ago, when Monterey County entered the Orange tier, we were able to open our doors for public access. In addition to hold pick up hours, this expands the library services to at least four days per week.
Our pledge to community service has not changed in the past year, just the manner in which it is provided. We added many new library card holders during the pandemic and expanded our e-resources, accessible through our website. It became clear during the pandemic that this heart of the community was missed and we are eager to open our doors again.
There will be public computers available, browsing and reference, all provided by your dedicated library workers. We are also looking forward to using our refreshed library as an event space. Art shows, lectures, movie nights...our imaginations are the only limit!
Thank you for your continued support.
From, Diana Godwin
