Welcome Message
from library director
Where has 2023 gone? We have moved from Summer Reading events to preparing for the Haunted Library! As we enjoy our lovely autumn weather, PG Library looks forward to welcoming you to our Fall Series: “Ourselves We Sing: A Call and Response with Walt Whitman”. This will be our most inspiring and topical program yet with a juried art show, speakers, music, poetry, and changing installations that will engage you in the issues of our democracy. The opening reception will be held Friday, October 6, and the programs will continue through the end of the year. Come to your community’s sitting room and take part in the dialogue.
Thank you for your ongoing support of the library!

PGPL is a welcoming community space. In light of increased book challenges around the country, I would like to state that PGPL follows the American Library Association Bill of Rights. Libraries are a traditional forum for the open exchange of information. Attempts to restrict access to library materials violate the basic tenets of the Library Bill of Rights. We affirm the rights of individuals to form their own opinions about resources they choose to read, view, listen to, or otherwise access. The presence of books and other resources in a library does not indicate endorsement of their contents by the library.

Thank you for supporting freedom of speech and the library,
