Welcome Message
from library director
What a year 2023 has been; storms, power outages, poetry and author events! The library is back in business, and it has been so gratifying to provide a variety of adult, teen and children’s programming. June 7th starts off eight weeks of Summer Reading Programs for teens and children. Be sure to check our calendar so you don’t miss anything. In August, we’ll return to your regularly scheduled adult events...the library is here for you!

PGPL is a welcoming community space. In light of increased book challenges around the country, I would like to state that PGPL follows the American Library Association Bill of Rights. Libraries are a traditional forum for the open exchange of information. Attempts to restrict access to library materials violate the basic tenets of the Library Bill of Rights. We affirm the rights of individuals to form their own opinions about resources they choose to read, view, listen to, or otherwise access. The presence of books and other resources in a library does not indicate endorsement of their contents by the library.

Thank you for supporting freedom of speech and the library,
